Warcop Stages - Latest!

It's official now that the fifth qualifying round of this year’s championship, the NHMC Warcop Stages, has been rescheduled. Due to a change in military activity on the Warcop Ranges over the weekend of 15th / 16th April, the Army has now withdrawn permission for the rally to take place at that time. Members of the organising team have met with representatives from the MoD and Landmarc to discuss the possibility of using the venue on an alternative weekend and have agreed to take up the offer for the last weekend in May.

North Humberside Motor Club will now host the NHMC Warcop Stages on Sunday 28th May 2017. There will be more details in due course about the event on the event at club’s website http://www.northhumbersidemotorclub.co.uk/

Warcop Stages

Welcome to our newest club!

ANECCC are pleased to welcome Team JJ Marshal’s Club. This new club is made up of a group of mainly rally marshals from across the North of England. They can be found on Facebook and welcome new members who want to share their passion for rally marshalling

The AS Performance North of England Tarmac Rally Championship.

The 2017 championship is now well under way.Rob Snowden driving his lovely looking and sounding Ford Escort Mark II took runners up spot on the recent Jack Frost Stages and also took top points in the North of England Tarmacadam Championship. Coupled with their steady result on the Christmas Stages 3 weeks earlier, both Rob and Tommy now lead their respective tables in our championship.
Finishing just 21 seconds adrift was another Ford, this one being the black Escort Mk II of Mark Jasper and Don Whyatt. While taking 6th overall and the 1600cc class win was Stevie Irwin in his wee yellow Vauxhall Nova.

The 2017 season has now started with the Jack Frost Rally at Croft. Last year’s runners up made the most of their prize drive to expand their driving skills. Ben Cree, (who was 2nd overall driver), and his usual passenger, (1st overall codriver), Andy Brown, showed how well they can drive a modern rally car. As we all now know Ben’s opportunity was a result of Steve Bannisters’ generosity, but a vast amount of skill is still needed. Well Done…

Autotesters take note!

Look out for a new series of Autotests across the North East & Cumbria in 2017. Points will be awarded across the season beginning with events in Hartlepool on 19th March and West Cumbria on 23rd April. Watch this space for more details!

Stage Rally Marshals

We would urge anyone planning on marshalling on stage rallies in 2107 to take the time to do the MSA’s online training which is available here https://members.msauk.org/imissite/login/default.asp

The training should take no more than 40 minutes and is useful and relevant to marshals of all levels and experience.

We would strongly ask everyone who has completed the online training to register as a MSA accredited marshal which can be done using this form http://bit.ly/2hCLTi1

Having a suitable MSA marshal’s license is required for those wishing to marshal on stage rallies from January 1st 2017 , although those who do not hold a license will be able to work alongside licensed marshals. If you turn up to marshal without a license in 2017 there will be plenty of opportunity to help out but these opportunities may be limited to certain tasks or areas.
