Welcome
to the website of the Association of North East & Cumbrian Car
Clubs (ANECCC). The Association encompasses the Car Clubs of
the North of England and Southern Scotland and is split into three
regions (Cumbria, Tyneside, Teesside) for administration purposes.
The Association
meets quarterly to discuss matters of concern to its member clubs and,
if necessary, refer those concerns to the Motor Sports Association
who are the governing body of four wheel motorsport in the UK.
Our members
club are active in virtually every form of motorsport and can assist
the newcomer in becoming involved. We have a popular Stage Rally Championship,
contact ben_smith_411@hotmail.com and probably the best supported Autocross
Championship, contact dangermouse202@blueyonder.co.uk, and are seeing
a resurgence in Road Rallying.
Within the
Region we are fortunate to have Croft Circuit which hosts Race Meetings,
Rallycross, Stage Rallies and Sprint. Our member Clubs provide marshals
for many events including those passing through our Region such as
the 'Le Jog' and various Endurance rallies and are active in the 'Volunteers
In Motorsport' initiative.
National
events, such as the Malcolm Wilson Rally, The Border Counties Rally,
The Cheviot Stages, The Northumberside Forest Rally, The Trackrod and
the International Pirelli Rally all take place in our area and the
Kart Circuit at Rowrah is always a busy venue.
I hope that
your visit to the site will cause you to contact your local motor club
and become a part of the fantastic world of motorsport.
